About Terengganu Chinese Chamber Of Commerce and Industry (TCCCI)

The foundations of Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce date back to the beginning of the 1880s and it is among the first 5 chambers as of the date of its establishment.

Since 1880, Balıkesir merchants came together and sought a union and their work; It became fully official with the Sultan’s edict in 1889 and the Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce was officially established.

Bringing Keskinkzade Hacı Nuri Bey to the Presidency of 54 Chambers of Merchants, which came together at the official establishment in 1889; They made plans to enter the new century more organized.

Although the Chamber’s work was interrupted at short intervals due to various wars and necessities throughout the century, it has continued to contribute to the economy of Balıkesir until today.

He was appointed as the Chairman of the Chamber, which started with Keskinkzade Hacı Nuri Bey in 1889; Mustafa Efendi from Crimea, Izzetli Sacit Bey, Barutçu Süleyman Efendi, Beypazarlı Hafız Mehmet Efendi, Bozokoğlu Mehmet Efendi, Hacı Emin’s Son Ahmet Münir Efendi (Guvensan), Keçecizade Hafız Mehmet Emin Efendi, İsmail Hakkı Varnalı, Kayyumzade İbrahim Sami Bey, Şeref. Eginlioğlu, Sırrı Yırcalı, Emin Güvensan, Ahmet Cumalı, Mehmet Şahin, İsmail İlşekerci, Ziyaettin Tan, A. Edip Uğur, Nihat Kozdağ, İlyas Yılmaz, Mahmut Yavuz, Fahri Ermişler were elected and Rahmi Kula, who was elected as the President of the Chamber with the elections held on 02.04.2018 they continue their mission.

Our Chamber undertook various duties in the 20th century, and worked for the distribution of various essential items in times of absence, and for the healthy functioning of the relationship between soldiers and civilians during periods of revolution.

Our Chamber, which also attaches importance to social life, has given scholarships, provided food aid to the poor people, and completed the construction of Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce High School and put it into the service of National Education.
