Bangladesh Association Sharjah (BAS) aims to meet the diverse needs of the local community by providing excellent services that promote social inclusion, citizenship and help empower individuals. Our primary aim is to provide and assist in the provision of a wide range of services and facilities for recreational, social and economic well-being for our Bangladeshi community residing in Northern Emirates of UAE, including but not limited to:.

• Strengthening relations amongst Emirati and Bangladeshi communities.
• Highlighting the true culture and heritage of Bangladesh.
• Providing the highest standards of service.
• Uplifting image of Bangladesh and Bangladeshis in the UAE.
• Establishing business networking amongst Bangladeshi entrepreneurs in UAE.
• Providing recreational needs of community by organizing sports and leisurely activities.
• Working in partnership with other organizations to pursue our common objectives.
• Providing personality development and skill enhancement for our workforce in UAE.
• Researching the needs of the local community and learning from their diversity.
• Being accountable for our actions.

Goals and Objectives
BAS is seeking to expand and grow the services it provides and has identified specific areas where there is lack of opportunities. BAS will be working towards more youth services, including outreach work to engage local young people, youth enrichment activities through sports and leisure activities, including visits across the UAE to raise cultural, social awareness and promote Bangladeshi heritage.

• To arrange a lease for land and construction of association complex building with all facilities by 2020.
• To establish Bangladeshi Community schools in Dubai / Sharjah / Ajman by 2020.
• To establish a community based University of Medical, Engineering and Technology.
• To arrange celebration of 100th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 2020.
• To celebrate Bangladesh’s Golden Jubilee (50th Anniversary of Independence of Bangladesh) in 2021.
• To arrange participation of Bangladesh in Global Village, Dubai in October 2020.
• To cooperate for successful participation of Bangladesh in Expo 2020.
• To cooperate for establishment of Bangladesh Trade Center in Sharjah.
• To cooperate and strengthen Bangladesh Business Council.
• To cooperate for construction of new buildings for Bangladesh English Private School, Ras Al Khaimah.
