CARE Egypt Foundation (CEF) is an Egyptian, non-governmental organization harnessing the legacy of CARE International in Egypt since 1954 to fight poverty and improve livelihoods. We envision Egypt as a place where everyone enjoys economic opportunities, equality and social justice. We empower women and girls by sharing our values amongst the private sector, government and civil society.

Our Mission

We envision Egypt as a society where everyone enjoys economic opportunities, equality and social justice.

Our Vision

Empowering women and girls through shared values amongst the private sector, government and civil society.

Our Focus

We put women and girls in the center because we know that we cannot overcome poverty until all people have equal rights and opportunities.

Our Values

Learning

Always improving your capacities while transferring this newly acquired knowledge and experience across the organization. Also ensuring that we are leading the market by introducing new developmental approaches.

Equality

Giving all people equal opportunity to grow, express, learn, and contribute to the organizational growth and societal change irrespective to any factors (i.e. religion, age, gender, race, managerial level). In addition to ensuring transparency of all our policies and processes that we base our actions and decisions on whether internally or externally.

Integrity

Ensuring the best interest of your colleagues, beneficiaries, stakeholders and organization. While being honest, transparent and always considering ethics before doing any action.

Excellence

Doing your work at your best and supporting others to do the same; while being innovative, ahead of the market and accountable for your actions.

Diversity

Exerting all possible efforts to enrich our work environment whether internally and externally with people coming from different walks of lives; i.e. religions, age, gender, backgrounds; while respecting and include them in the different organizational aspects.
