Erzurum Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the oldest professional organizations established in Anatolia. Although the date of official establishment was determined as 1919, the first establishment was based on the law published in 1838. During the Tanzimat period, administrative and legal arrangements were initiated for the purpose of developing agriculture, industry and trade with the order of Abdulhamid II. They were responsible for functions such as parliamentary agriculture and industry (1838), correctional industry commission (1865), parliamentary trade and agriculture to produce proposals for the strengthening of the country in agriculture, industry and trade.
