It was established by Lebanese and Egyptian businessmen and businesswomen who sought to establish a cohesive framework for the commerce relationships between the two nations.

Lebanon has always been known as an attractive lucrative investment hub, and Egypt represents a wealth of opportunities as one of the biggest Arab nations with extensive markets. Combing these two aspects can only lead to a lucrative connection provided that both parties’ efforts can be conducted through the appropriate channels.

The Lebanese Egyptian relationship is characterized by its social and historic roots on cultural and economic levels that distinguish this unique connection between the two sister nations.

Egypt holds a nostalgic place in the heart of all Lebanese as it was one of the first nations to endorse the declaration of Lebanese independence in the 1940s.

The formation of LEBC is the result of our desire to enhance and evolve the economic interaction which in turn will result in boosting all other forms of connections between the two nations.

As such, LEBC was formed through an initiative from Minister Mohammad Choucair and held the first meeting on 25/01/2018 headed by MP Nazih Njem. The Council was reformed following the elections on 18/04/2019 where I was granted the honor of supervising the council and leading it towards implementing its vision.

Our mission is to build a strategy that unites businesspeople in both countries based on our faith in the reciprocal potential and skills that can symbiotically boost the economic, trade, and investment pools.

We will work tirelessly to remove all hurdles that face institutions on both sides to create a wider space of collaboration to reach a unified strategy that benefits both sides.

Thus, we need the cooperation of all those who are interested in developing this notion and those who believe in our vision. We aim to create a team that would exemplify Arab collaboration. For this purpose, we have appointed committees to supervise all the various sections.

We will always require a haven where we can work together to evolve our societies. And we are confident that LEBC will evolve into one of the most important conduits of sophisticated communication that will endorse the Lebanese Egyptian relationship.
