INKOWAPI (Parent Cooperative for Women Entrepreneurs in Indonesia) is a Parent Cooperative that was established on June 22, 1998 which consists of PUSKOWAPI, KOWAPI, and other Primary Female Cooperatives that have legal entities spread throughout Indonesia. INKOWAPI members are Indonesian women entrepreneurs who are engaged in various fields of small and medium-sized businesses, of which there are currently around 1 million people.
As a Cooperative Parent, INKOWAPI Programs and Activities are mostly policy and coordinated for the development of PUSKOWAPI and KOWAPI throughout Indonesia. Whereas business activities are carried out by KOWAPI-KOWAPI in the form of Multipurpose Cooperatives and Savings and Loans Enterprises. With the many facilities provided by the Government in developing Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives, such as the People’s Business Credit which is promoted by Government Banks, KOWAPI members can also develop their business activities, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
