One of the indicators of the development process of the Ottoman economy in the 19th century was the Chambers of Commerce. for the first time in 1879 in Tarsus Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in Turkey. Then, respectively, Istanbul, Trabzon, Mugla, Izmir, Antalya, Mersin, Balikesir, Bursa, Asana, Eskisehir, Kayseri and then in 1896 Siverek “Chamber of Commerce and Industry” was organized under the name.
