About Us

The Corporation for the Development of the Atacama Region, CORPROA, is a private, nonprofit law institution, composed of regional companies and entrepreneurs that aim to design, promote, execute and support regional development strategies that are sustainable and that allow to raise levels of quality of life of the population. It will also collaborate with the University of Atacama and other institutions for the same purposes.

It has the support of 90 associated companies, whose productions constitute around 70% regional GDP.

Its associative capacity, union drive, active participation and dialogue in regional contingency issues guarantee its experience and solid principles. That is why companies from all the productive sectors of the region have placed their trust in them, supporting them as a valid representative of the private sector before the regional authorities and the community in the different scenarios where the future of Atacama is discussed.

To this is added the associative work done with CORFO, SOFOFA, CNC (National Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Services), Santiago Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Industrialists of Antofagasta (AIA), among others.
