The Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture was established in 1989 in Jerusalem at the initiative of the Palestinian Chambers and distributed geographically throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip and its main cities. It has a membership of more than 65,000 registered establishments as of the end of 2015. The last elections to the Boards of Directors of the Palestinian Chambers took place in the summer of 2011. It is worth mentioning that the Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jerusalem was established in 1936. The Palestinian Chambers are governed by Decree Law No. 9 of 2011 on the Law of Chambers of Commerce and Industry issued on 4/8/2011. Its work is regulated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry issued by the Council of Ministers on 29/1/2013.
