The Japan Business Association in Vietnam (JBAV) was established in December 1992 with name of “The Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Hanoi”. Its initial number of members was 26 companies. Then the name was changed to “Japan Business Club in Hanoi”, in September 1998 was officially recognized by Vietnam Government as “The Japan Business Association in Vietnam” and has been operating up to now. JBAV has 1550 member companies (data as of April 2016), in combination with: Japanese Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City, Japan Business Association in Da Nang and also Hai Phong Department.
