The Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) was established by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the approval of the Government on 8th September 2010. The Council was officially launched on 17th December 2010. VBCSD is a business-led organization with the mandate to promote the business community’s active role in and strong advocacy for the implementation of the Strategic Orientation for Sustainable Development in Vietnam. VBCSD facilitates and promotes the sharing of experience, solutions and good practices on sustainable development, and strengthens dialogues and close coordination among business community, the Government and civil organizations on this domain.
