
Vietnam Tourism Association
The Vietnam Tourism Association is a voluntary non-governmental organization of Vietnamese businesses, economic organizations and citizens legally operating in the field of tourism . According to the Law on Tourism, the Vietnam Tourism Association is a socio-professional organization in tourism established and operating in accordance with the law on the association.
The Vietnam Tourism Association, whose English trading name is Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA), was established under Decision No. 18/2002/QD-BNV dated December 25, 2002 by the Minister of Home Affairs and is headquartered in Hanoi. at: K House, La Thanh Guest House, 226 Van Phuc Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi City. The establishment of the Vietnam Tourism Association marked an important development step of Vietnam’s tourism industry.
The Association held the 1st Congress (January 9, 2003), the 2nd Congress (December 21, 2005), the 3rd Congress (December 29, 2011) and the 3rd Congress. the 4th (April 6, 2017) and the 5th Congress (March 31, 2022);
In March 2006 the Association’s Charter (amended) was approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs and on June 6, 2012 the Ministry of Home Affairs issued Decision No. 514/QD-BNV approving the Charter (amended, supplemented ).
The purpose of the Association is to link, cooperate, and support each other in terms of economic – technical in business and services, creating market stability, improving the value of quality, tourism products, competitiveness in the industry. and abroad of members; represent and protect the legitimate rights and interests of members.
The Vietnam Tourism Association operates nationwide and abroad in accordance with the law of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Law on Tourism (amended) promulgated by the National Assembly on June 19. 2017 and the Association’s Charter.
