PULLMAN — Pullman Chamber of Commerce Vice President Pete Chittenden has been promoted to executive director.

The organization announced Tuesday in a news release Chittenden assumed the role on Monday. He replaces former Executive Director Marie Dymkoski, who resigned in April after holding the position for 16 years.

Chittenden has volunteered at the chamber for four years on its Board of Directors and government affairs committee. The news release said he has also served on the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, United Way of Whitman County Board of Directors and the Boys and Girls Club of Pullman’s advisory committee.

The chamber also hired Tim Braun as its business and communications manager, according to the news release. In previous years, Braun and Chittenden worked together at DABCO, a Pullman property management firm.

Braun replaces Audrey Hughes, who left in May after a little over a year in the role, according to the news release.

Interim Executive Director Alexis Foran has returned to her main job as the chamber’s tourism promotions manager, according to the news release.
