SCIP JOINS CHAMBER

Perkins County Chamber was held Thursday June 19th at the Perkins county Senior Center at noon with 9 in attendance.

First Dollar was given to SCIP-Sandhills Crisis Intervention Program that is in Ogallala but serves 6 counties.  The SCIP is a dual domestic violence and assault program that is committed to prevention and elimination of interpersonal and family violence.  They are open M-TH 8:30-4:30 and Friday 8-Noon.  Contact numbers are 308-284-8477 and emergency number is 308-284-6055.

BRAG and Drive-In movie was held May 22 with a great turnout.  We had 125 for the bike ride around Grant and great turnout for our 1st drive in movie Moana 2 of the summer.  City wide garage sales were held 1st Saturday of June 7.  Chamber is having a facebook promotion for our business of the Month.  Father’s Day was Ensz Hardware and July will be Grant Packing.  Follow us on Facebook to enter to win.

Coming up event will be 4th of July celebration in the Park.  Lots of events happening starting at 7:00 am with the Firecracker Run followed by Perkins county School Foundation breakfast, lots of fun activities for adults and kids, lunch will be served, bounces houses, free swim, Rib Cookoff, and followed by the firework show at 9:30 p.m.

After the big celebration we will be having the next event July 14-19 the Perkins County Fair.  Free Fair Breakfast will be held Thursday July 17 from 6-8 a.m. everyone welcome.  Rodeo, concerts, activities for the kids, food vendors, BBQ, and parade.  Come enjoy the fun in Perkins County.
