Supervisors, chamber director discuss potential of Gilmore building

ABERDEEN – Monroe County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kelly Martin pitched ideas to the board of supervisors May 9 for potential uses of the Gilmore Foundation Conference Center. Robert and Jennifer Tomey previously offered the building to the county as a gift, and a one-year lease was signed last month.

Martin used another chamber of commerce’s renovation of a former library into a shared space with a visitors center and business resource center as an example of the building’s potential.
