Trail and District Chamber of Commerce celebrates milestone awards

The Trail and District Chamber of Commerce marked its quasquicentennial year on April 28, by honouring members reaching significant milestones in their commitment to the regional business community.

During the Business After Business event, the chamber presented Milestone Certificates to recognize the leadership, dedication, and contributions of long-standing members.

Each recipient was recognized for their continued impact and involvement in strengthening the local economy.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of a 105-year Milestone Certificate to Mackenzie and Ingrid Hope of Hall Printing, a business with deep roots in the region’s history.

The chamber expressed its appreciation to all attendees and milestone recipients for their continued partnership and contribution to the business community.

The evening was hosted at Gabriella’s Restaurants in Rossland, where Chef Gabriella and her team were acknowledged by the chamber for their outstanding hospitality.

“It’s the food!” the chamber noted, thanking the team for a thoughtfully prepared menu that added to the success of the night.

What began in 1899 with 49 merchants has grown into a robust economic development organization representing 335 members.

The chamber attributes this growth to “the unwavering commitment of members… to our region, your own visions, and the Chamber Network.”

The Trail and District Chamber of Commerce was incorporated on Dec. 11, 1900 under Part 1 of the Federal Board of Trade Act, governed by a board of directors.
