Yakima Chamber of Commerce announces 2025 Women Awards Nominees

 

 

YAKIMA- The Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce has revealed the top three nominees in each category for the 2025 Women Awards, a signature event that honors exceptional women making an impact in the Yakima Valley.

The community is invited to attend this celebratory event on Thursday, May 8 at 4:00 PM in the State Fair Room, located on the 2nd level of the Yakima Valley SunDome. This special evening will recognize leadership, service, innovation, and excellence, culminating in the live announcement of winners in each category.

2025 Women Awards Top Nominees:

Betty Jo Murray – Commercial banking professional, board member, and volunteer

Barb Petrea – Owner, Madd Hatters Haunt; board member and volunteer

Candelaria Mendoza – Executive Director, Yakima Valley Libraries

Legendary Education Award

Chris Scacco – Associate Superintendent, Selah School District

Sydney Snyder – Teacher, Christ the Teacher Catholic School

Kirsten Fitterer – Executive Director of Communications and Engagement, Yakima School District

Legendary Leadership in Business Award

Vicki Baker – Yakima City Manager and former Grocery Outlet owner

Lindsay Brown – Executive Director, Central Washington Home Builders Association

Letisha Peterson – General Manager, Legends Casino Hotel

Legendary Business Ownership Award

Erin Lantz – Owner, Barre3 Yakima

Jessica Riel – Owner, Double R Hop Ranches

Roxanne Brady – Owner, Shuel’s Lumber Co
